Food Waste Collections

Do you recycle your food waste? Could you recycle more?

Please check out Gloucestershire County Council's latest information leaflet on why you should and how to get started.

Gloucester City Council can provide residents with two food caddies - a small food waste caddy for you to keep on your worktop or under the sink and a larger outside caddy to use for collection. Both caddies have locking handles to prevent spills and smells, and to protect the contents from vermin.

The contents from the small caddy should be emptied into the large outside caddy - which should be placed at the kerbside by 7am on collection day. This is a weekly collection, so you never need to hold onto your food waste any longer than 7 days.

Food waste caddies are now chargeable (large - £6 and small £2.50). If you would like new or replacement caddies please order online.
