Waste & Recycling Updates
Collections update - 10th August 2026
With more high temperatures expected this week, (Monday 10th - Friday 14th August), our waste and recycling crews will be starting their rounds earlier, so that they will be completed before the hottest part of the day.
Please make sure your bins and recycling containers are out by 6am on your usual collection day.
We will update again on Monday 17th August.
Collections during Extreme Weather
During periods of extreme weather (hot, cold, snow, wind) waste and recycling crews may change their working hours, this could include starting their rounds earlier. Where possible please put your bin and recycling containers out the night before and leave your containers out, in cases of extreme wind / storm conditions you may be advised not to present your containers at all. Any changes to crew start times or collections will be advertised ahead of collections taking place. Please keep an eye on our website and social media pages during periods of extreme weather and bear with us as situations can quickly change.
