How is it paid?

Housing Association Tenant

We’ll pay your Housing Benefit every 4 weeks in arrears.

We can pay your Housing Benefit to either:

• you
• your housing association directly

Private Tenant

We’ll pay your Housing Benefit to you every 4 weeks in arrears.

We can only consider paying your landlord if you’re:

• likely to have problems paying your rent
• 8 weeks or more in rent arrears
